‘Bee Happy’ is a textile hoop art, featuring a bumblebee in a 6 inch embroidery hoop backed with felt for a smooth finish. It comes with a ribbon hanger, which can be removed if you prefer to prop it up instead.
It is made from an acrylic painting onto cotton fabric, which I then sew over with threads and my sewing machine, gradually building up the layers until I am happy with the way it looks. I then cut it out and applique it to the background fabric before framing it with the hoop.
It is very tactile and the beauty of the hoop is that you can touch it as much as you want!
Enjoy your textile hoop art anywhere in your home, but hang out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
